Overath/Bonn/Leipzig, September 02, 2024: A.H.T. Syngas Technology N.V. (“AHT”), a leading company in the production of decentralized and climate-friendly biomass power plants based in the Netherlands (ISIN NL0010872388, WKN A12AGY), held its Annual General Meeting for the past financial year on August 30, 2024. The actions of the Executive Board and Supervisory Board for the 2023 financial year were approved by a large majority.
In his address to the shareholders of AHT, CEO Gero Ferges explained the development of the past financial year, which was characterized by an increase in sales of over 600% for the relevant German operating site. He also gave an overview of the company’s current developments and prospects.
“AHT is currently in a phase of strong growth. We are working intensively on expanding our capacities in order to be able to serve customers and new inquiries. For 2024, we expect a further significant increase in annual sales from around EUR 12 million to over EUR 20 million. In line with our forecast, we are also planning a significant increase in earnings to over EUR 1.2 million. We are seeing strong demand in our markets for AHT’s solutions for the decentralized, emission-free production of synthesis gas for the generation of energy, heat or raw materials,” said Gero Ferges, CEO of AHT Syngas Technology, to the shareholders. Ferges identifies the existing planning and implementation capacities as well as the outstanding increase in personnel as the main factors holding back even stronger growth and explains: “Despite the expansion of our team to over 40 employees, we are not yet able to accept all orders. We will therefore gradually expand our existing capacities with targeted recruitment.”
Ferges once again emphasized the diversification along the current project pipeline, which includes orders from various customers in Japan and Germany. In addition to a major project for a Japanese customer, AHT is currently working on the completion of two further plants in Japan. Several projects in Germany are also at an advanced stage, with construction expected in 2024. A plant from subsidiary Aremtech will also be handed over to a customer in Brandenburg in the near future.
