2024 10 Delegation Japan Seminar Gero

A.H.T. Syngas Technology N.V. is part of the business delegation on NRW Minister of Economic Affairs Neubaur’s trip to Japan

Overath/Bonn/Leipzig, October 21, 2024 – A.H.T. Syngas Technology N.V. (“AHT”, ISIN NL0010872388, WKN A12AGY), a leading company in the production of decentralized and climate-friendly biomass power plants, is part of the business delegation to Japan. Under the motto “NRW – Big in Japan”, the North Rhine-Westphalian Minister of Economic Affairs, Mona Neubaur, has started a delegation trip to Japan. A comprehensive program with economic policy appointments is planned in the three partner prefectures Tokyo, Fukushima and Osaka. Relevant topics include climate protection, climate-friendly energy sources, the circular economy and cooperation on innovation and sustainability.

A.H.T. Syngas Technology has been active in Japan for many years. For example, there are completed synthesis gas power plants or gas purification components in the regions of Miyagi, Fukushima, Kōbe, Niigata and Ōsaka. Other projects, for example in Shizuoka and Hiroshima, are in various stages of completion. With the help of AHT’s technologies, energy and heat can be generated decentrally and without climate-damaging emissions. During the delegation trip, Gero Ferges, CEO of AHT, will present the innovative solutions for clean energy and the realized projects in order to gain further partnerships and concrete projects.

“Japan is an important market for AHT in our growth strategy. Within the country, we have supplied power plants and gas purification products for various customers at several locations and further projects are currently being implemented. The Japanese government has set the goal of a climate-neutral energy supply. Due to the large quantities of biomass available, which are increasing every year, the concept of biomass power plants is of particular importance in Japan. We see ourselves as a relevant provider here, which in turn contributes to our expansion in other regions,” says Gero Ferges, CEO of AHT Syngas.

Ferges continues: “We would like to thank the Minister and the participating government and company representatives for the perfectly organized trip. Motivated young companies and reliable assistance, especially from NRW government organizations, support companies from NRW to a unique extent.”
