Hydrogen Innovation Ready for Immediate Use
• Continuous extraction of hydrogen from gas mixtures
• Wide range of applications
• Positive earnings contribution from hydrogen business starting in 2026
Bonn/Eindhoven, 29 March 2025 – A.H.T. Syngas Technology N.V. (ISIN NL0010872388, WKN A12AGY), a leader in decentralized, climate-positive biomass power plants, has reached a significant milestone in hydrogen technology development. Through its participation in FHT Hydrogen Separation GmbH, AHT continues to drive forward innovative hydrogen production methods.
The patented Ferro-Hy-Tunnel process (“FHT process”) forms the core of FHT technology, allowing efficient separation of hydrogen from gas mixtures. Extensive research and development at a pilot facility, conducted in collaboration with TH Köln and supported by the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM) under Prof. Christian Malek’s guidance, have enabled the process to be refined for continuous operational use.
“This breakthrough is a significant enhancement for the hydrogen industry,” notes AHT CEO Gero Ferges. “The FHT process can be seamlessly integrated into existing projects and also opens doors to entirely new applications across various segments of the hydrogen sector. For instance, it facilitates the extraction of high-purity hydrogen from natural gas networks to reliably supply mobility applications; just one among numerous potential uses.” Initial inquiries for FHT plants have already been received, with additional projects in progress.
AHT anticipates these initiatives, along with other pioneering activities in hydrogen, will substantially increase revenues in the upcoming years and positively impact consolidated earnings from 2026 onward.
