From October 13 to 15, 2022, A.H.T. Syngas Technology N.V. (“AHT” for short) participated in the Renewable Energy Industrial Fair (REIF) in Fukushima Prefecture. The company presented the entire range of innovative Clean Tec products for green energy generation to the Japanese trade audience. This year, the focus was on Zero Carbon. The delegation’s visits to the AIST Fukushima Renewable Energy Institute (FREA) and the Fukushima Hydrogen Energy Research Field (FH2R) offered promising opportunities for new business contacts and future partnerships. For example, the FH2R production facility is the world’s largest production facility for hydrogen produced exclusively with renewable energy. During the subsequent customer visits, CEO Gero Ferges was also able to present the AHT concept of green future technology, discuss it in detail and approve new projects.
In addition to the acquisition of new customers and the topic of “Material waste recycling on the way to circular value creation”, the visits to AHT’s existing customers focused on the second implementation stage of the three-stage “waste to recyclables” concept. Here, AHT can score points with its own innovative solutions for processing the synthesis gas and in the future provide synthesis gas for material use, such as hydrogen and other basic chemical materials. In Japan, the market potential for gas, heat and power generation from biomass is considerable due to the general conditions. In addition, the island nation has limited space available for landfilling waste, so waste reduction or the circular economy of waste materials is a high priority. AHT expects to commission projects of significant scale in Q4/22.
