A.H.T. Syngas Technology N.V. (“A.H.T.” for short) has been awarded the contract to build an extension to the research plant for the thermal treatment of biomasses. This involves the “:metabolon” project, for which A.H.t. had won the Europe-wide tender. The project sponsor is the Bergischer Abfallwirtschaftsverband (BAV). “:metabolon” has an international reputation for innovative and forward-looking use of residual materials. Due to its convincing concept, A.H.T. was awarded the contract to supplement the planned research plant with an efficient and innovative gas purification system. The purification system consists of an additional cooling stage, scrubbing of the synthesis gas and a wet electrostatic precipitator. The plants are to enable the holistic innovation development of a Circular Value Creation. The goal of Circular Value Creation is to balance environment, society and economy. The plant will be flexibly constructed to process the synthesis gas so that it can also be used for material utilization. Input for the production of the synthesis gas is a wide range of biogenic residues. Ferges, CEO of A.H.T., explains: “The possibilities created at the :metabolon site are an important step towards producing raw materials and valuable gases from residual materials. We are pleased that A.H.T. has been awarded the contract to work on these issues.” Together with the project partners, who are well known internationally, this project will receive a high level of attention beyond the regional borders.
