A.H.T. receives order for delivery of a syngas cleaning facility

On August 24, 2020, A.H.T. Syngas Technology N.V. (“A.H.T.”) received an order to supply a synthesis gas purification system to a renowned Japanese group. The order was preceded by numerous negotiations (we reported on 04.06.2020), which were virtually conducted every week.

This order is the first step in a coordinated cooperation agreement, which will be followed by further orders at the end of the second quarter 2021 and in the third quarter 2023.

The purchase order now specifies delivery periods and scope of services. The initial engineering has already been completed and the production of the synthesis gas purification and control system will now begin. The facility will be delivered at the end of 2020.

The customer plans to use the synthesis gas generated in his production process to support chemical processes or products. As this gas is relatively impure, the customer chose the unique wet scrubbing system of A.H.T., which is already widely used in A.H.T. installations. It has been agreed to conduct appropriate test series together with the customer.

“For A.H.T. this order is an important step towards diversification of its portfolio”, says Mr. Ferges, CEO of A.H.T. “In addition to the generation of electricity and heat from synthesis gas, the use of gas components such as gaseous carbon and hydrogen from biogenic residues is playing an increasingly important role. Thus, our company opens up new markets and contributes significantly to the decarbonisation of industrial production processes. Further similar projects are in the pipeline, some of which are to be implemented in cooperation with renowned German universities.”

Once again, A.H.T. shows that its product portfolio is not a one-way street but remains sustainable and innovative. “We are proud that A.H.T. was chosen as a partner for this challenging task”, remarks Mr. Ferges, CEO of A.H.T.
