The Management Board of A.H.T. Syngas Technology N.V. (WKN: A12AGY, AHT for short) is pleased to announce the signing of a contract with a partner for the joint construction of a biomass power plant in Southern Germany. The contract holds a value in the lower single-digit million range. Both partners complement each other with innovative technologies for processing and utilizing biogenic residues, transforming them into high-quality energy sources.
“We look forward to contributing to this innovative project and to constructing a forward-looking plant at another German industrial company, which will replace the fossil energy previously used on-site,” says CEO Gero Ferges.
The customer, a medium-sized family business, aims to balance economic growth with nature preservation. In the future, the site will produce hydrocarbons from sewage sludge, which typically requires costly disposal and additional energy consumption. These hydrocarbons will undergo thermochemical conversion into usable synthesis gas, which will be purified and utilized for the high temperatures required in the plant.
“This decentralized model of energy generation from biological waste materials will be a crucial component of a functioning circular economy in the future,” adds Ferges. “Our joint customer is thereby making another significant contribution to the energy transition and the reduction of fossil fuel usage in high-quality brick production.”
